Jeremy Messersmith is an indie pop musician based right here in Minneapolis. He grew up in Washington and moved to the lovely Minneapolis in 1999 to attend North Central University. His first album, The Alcatraz Kid, quickly gained the attention of the local media, resulting in him being named the "premier under-30 songwriter in the Twin Cities" by City Pages. His second album, The Silver City, was recognized in a press poll as the second-best album in the Twin Cities in 2008, losing out to Atmosphere. Messersmith has toured extensively in support of his albums and is currently on tour promoting his latest, The Reluctant Graveyard, which was released last year.
