The Decemberists are an indie folk rock band originally from Portland, Oregon. Colin Meloy is the singer/songwriter and frontman, accompanied by Chris Funk, Jenny Conlee, Nate Query and John Moen. The band released their debut EP titled 5 Songs in 2001.  Since then, they've released six studio albums and four additional EPs. The band claims they adore and get influences from bands such as Morrissey, Dokken, Death Cab for Cutie, Tracker, The Shins, Tom Heinl, The Thermals, Swords and Earlimart.
