The Fleet Foxes formed in Seattle, Washington in 2006 but really gained popularity two years later after the release of their second EP, Sun Giant, and their debut full length album Fleet Foxes. The band was formed by two close friends that bonded over a mutual appreciation of Bob Dylan and Neil Young. Robin Pecknold and Skyler Skjelset are these two friends that met in high school and started making music together.
