Dutch violinist, conductor and composer Andre Rieu is best-known for creating the waltz-playing Johann Strauss Orchestra. Andre began studying the violin at age five and also developed a fascination with orchestra at a very young age. In 1987, he created the Johann Strauss Orchestra and his own production company. Since then, his dramatic stage performances and rock-star demeanor have been associated with the revival of the waltz music category.
