Minnesota's favorite hip hop duo Slug and Ant, a.k.a. Atmosphere, have been a driving force in Twin Cities hip hop and Independent hip hop for over 20 years now. That's crazy to think about considering I'm 25 and have only been listening to them since I was 12, so that's at least another 8 years of catching up I need to do. I've seen them perform live twice and can't wait to see them again at First Avenue on February 22nd! If you have never seen Atmosphere perform live, you are missing out! Atmosphere has made quite the name for themselves since their debut in 1993. Rapper Slug and DJ/producer Ant make up this successful & long-lived independent hip hop group from Minneapolis. Atmosphere released their first studio album Overcast! in 1997 and since then, the group has released a total of five studio albums and seven EP's. I was fortunate enough to see them a couple years ago and they definitely put on a show for their audience!! Now YOU can also see Atmosphere live at First Avenue!
