Deftones First Avenue Tickets

The alternative metal band Deftones formed in Sacremento, CA in 1988. When guitarist Stephen Carpenter was 15 years old, he was hit by a car and confined to a wheelchair for several months. It was then that he taught himself to play the guitar by playing along to such bands as Metallica, Anthrax and Stromtroopers of Death. The band released their debut album, Adrenaline, in 1995, which sold over 220,000 copies. Since their debut, Deftones have released six albums to date, with two Platinum and two Gold certifications. Their most recent studio album Diamond Eyes was released last spring.
